Changing your name

Our site was created for people who dream of finding their soulmate and we want you to enjoy your stay here.
We understand that many people are reluctant to disclose their real names online in order to avoid security issues, therefore we do not require you to enter your full name.
Therefore, all users of the site are tagged with their nickname and age. We recommend that you choose a nickname responsibly in order to avoid overlaps with other users. Your nickname will be your name on the site, and ladies can contact you by indicating your nickname in a message.
Below, there are instructions on how to change your nickname, if necessary.

To replace your name, you should:

Changing your birthdate

A birthday is an important holiday for any person. On this day, it is always pleasant to receive congratulations, both from your closest friends and family, as well as from regular acquaintances. Even one kind word or a pretty card can cheer you up for the rest of your day. For this reason, it is incredibly important for us that your date of birth is set correctly.
After all, thanks to this, other site members and the site’s administrators will be able to congratulate you on your important day.
heartllink has also developed a notification system about the approaching birthday of each user. Every year, a few days before your birthday, a mailing goes out to your contact list with a notification that your birthday is approaching.

3. Change the month in the first field. When you click on the field, a drop-down list will appear from which you must select the month of your birth.

4. Change the day in the second field. When you click on this field, a drop-down list will appear from which you will need to select your birthday.

5. Change the year in the third field. To do this, click on the highlighted field, and select the year in which you were born from the drop-down list.

Changing the country/city of residence

Another important field to fill out is the country of residence.
Benefits of specifying your country of residence:
✅ Topics by which a conversation may be started with you (discussing architecture, art, politics, your country's national holidays, etc.)

2. Find the “COUNTRY” field in the first section of the block (in the screenshot, the required field is highlighted in red)

3. Click on this field and start entering the country of your residence (please note that the country name must be entered in full, for example, not USA, but United States, otherwise you will not be able to find the country you need)

4. As you type the name of your country, the country options will be shown. You should choose the appropriate one from the options offered (by clicking on the name of the country one time). After that, the name of the country of residence will be changed.

Changing the city of residence
To change the city of residence in your profile, you should:
1. Go to the “My profile” section (The section is located in the upper left-hand corner, under the heartllink logo). You can also go to the section by following the link (Go to the "My profile" section).

2. Find the “CITY” field in the first section of the block (in the screenshot, the required field is highlighted in red)

3. Click on this field and start entering the city of your residence (please note that the city name must be entered in full, for example, not NY, but New York and without an abbreviation of a state, otherwise you will not be able to find the city you need).

4. As you type the name of your city, the city options will be shown. You should choose the appropriate one from the options offered (by clicking on the name of the city one time). After that, your city of residence will be changed.

Changing your email

There are situations in which your account login and password has been hacked, or the email address attached to your account is no longer valid. When this is the case, these items should be changed on your account. heartllink has developed a simple system for changing your email and password. To save you time, the process has been simplified as much as possible, and is performed in just a couple of clicks.

To change your email address, you should:
1. Go to the “My profile” section (The section is located in the upper left-hand corner, under the heartllink logo). You can also go to the section by following the link (Go to the "My profile" section).

2. Find the “Change email & password” field in the first block of the section (in the screenshot, the required field is highlighted in red)

3. Click on the field once

4. Choose the “Change email address” option from the menu that opens

5. In the window that opens, delete the previous email address and type in a new one.

6. Confirm the action by clicking the “Confirm email” button.

Attention!! If you change the email assigned to your account, the system automatically changes your username when you log into your account to the new email address. Therefore, be attentive and do not forget it)

Changing your password

5. In the opened window, in the field “Enter new password,” type in a password you want to set. In the “RE-ENTER NEW PASSWORD” field, enter the same password you just entered previously in the “Enter new password” field.

6. Confirm the action by clicking the “Change password” field.


ABOUT MYSELF

Congratulations! You have already partially filled in your profile!
Let's move on to the second part. This subsection is no less important than the previous one since it contains information about your life, hobbies, family, work, etc. You should refrain from being lazy with this section and fill in as much detail as possible. Each of these has its own number of advantages. You can find out more about them in the corresponding sections. Well, now let’s dive into the main point - how you can use them to go to the user's profile.


Method #1 Via the “Online now” tab:
1. Go to the “Online now” section (Click the “Online now” button in the site’s main menu; the required button is highlighted in the screenshot)

2. In the window that opens, choose the user you like.
3. Click on the user's avatar to open their profile.


Method #2 Via the “Search” tab:
1. Go to the “Search” section (Click the “Search” button in the site’s main menu, the required button is highlighted in the screenshot).

2. In the window that opens, choose the user you like.
3. Move the mouse cursor over the user's profile.
4. Click the “Profile” button.

5. After this, you will see the profile of the user you’ve chosen.

Sending a quick “Hello” message to a user

To make it easier for site users to initiate conversations with each other, we have implemented the “Say hello” button. This feature offers phrases with which you could use to start a conversation. The given option is applicable only to new individuals with whom you haven’t chatted yet.
How can you use it?
Go to the profile of the user you’ve liked.
In the top part of the profile, find the “Say “Hello” button and click it once (the button is highlighted in the screenshot)

3. Choose the option you like from the drop-down list and click it once.

4. After this, the message will be sent to the user, and you will see a banner inviting you to start chatting with them.
5. Click “Go to chat“ to go to the chat with the user or click the cross to stay in their profile.

Start chatting

To make it easier for site users to initiate conversations with each other, we have implemented the “Say hello” button. This feature offers phrases with which you could use to start a conversation. The given option is applicable only to new individuals with whom you haven’t chatted yet.
How can you use it?
Go to the profile of the user you’ve liked.
In the top part of the profile, find the “Say “Hello” button and click it once (the button is highlighted in the screenshot)

3. Choose the option you like from the drop-down list and click it once.

4. After this, the message will be sent to the user, and you will see a banner inviting you to start chatting with them.
5. Click “Go to chat“ to go to the chat with the user or click the cross to stay in their profile.

Going to letters

If you have already found someone you like, in addition to the opportunity to write a message in the chat, you also have the option to send a letter to the user you like.

To send a letter, you should:
1. Choose the user you like
2. Find the "Write a letter" button and click on it
3. After going to the section, write the text in the input field and send it to the user (for more details, see the "Letters" section)

Add the user to favorites

Let’s continue investigating a user's profile. How can you add someone to favorites?
Why is it necessary?
✅ For easier correspondence (Chats with favorites have a separate section, so it is easier to correspond with them)

How can you add the user to favorites via their profile?
1. Go to the user's profile.
2. In the top part of the profile, find the “Favorites” button and click on it once.

3. After clicking the button, the lady will be added to favorites, and the button itself will be highlighted, as in the screenshot below.

How do I report inappropriate behavior / file a complaint about a user?

We strive to create an ideal chatting environment for our users, where everyone treats each other with understanding and respect. Therefore, we provide every user with 24/7 customer support.
Should another user:
🔻 be rude to you, show any kind of discrimination, have a bad attitude, or call for violence, terrorism, etc.
🔻 send you links of an incomprehensible nature that you have not asked for
🔻 ask you to reveal your personal data (login / password from your account, card numbers, etc.), or
🔻 blackmail you under any pretext,

How to report a user:
1. Go to the profile of the user you want to report
2. In the top panel of the profile, find the “Complain” button and click it once
3. In the “Reason” section, describe the reason for your complaint in detail (see the screenshot below)

4. If needed, attach the files with proof by clicking the “Choose your file, please” button (the button is highlighted in red in the screenshot).

5. Click the “Send” button to send the message to our Support Team.

How it works:

Write a letter
